How to Add Publication History to a Piece Record

Documenting publications about an artwork is crucial for proving its origin and potentially increasing its value. Artwork Archive's Publication History feature helps you organize and preserve important written materials about your art.


Add Publication History and details to a Piece Record:

  1. Click into the Piece Record and scroll down to Publication History.

  2. Click on New Publication Record.

3. Click the blue hyperlink to access the publication entry screen.

4. Enter publication details (author's name, article title, etc.).

5. Our recommendation:

  • For printed articles, scan and save as PDFs.

  • For online articles, save them as PDFs.

6. Upload the PDF by clicking Choose File in the Publication Document field.

7. Click Save when you've finished entering all information.

6. The publication will now appear in the artwork record under Publication History.
