How to assign work to a Location

Keep track of where your artwork is and where it has been.

To assign a single piece:

Click on Artwork in the left-side menu. Select the Piece you want to assign to a Location. Then click on Assign to New Location. You may also click on New Location Record in blue next to Location History. 

Either choose a Location from the drop-down menu or click the blue New Location button and type the new Location's name in the box. Select the Start and End Dates and click Save.

To assign pieces in bulk from a Location Record:

You can assign pieces in bulk either from within a Location Record or on the main pieces page under Bulk Actions.

Click on Locations on the left-side menu, and select the Location you want to assign Pieces to. Select Manage Inventory and click Add Inventory from the drop-down menu. 

Select the Pieces you want to assign to the Location and click the gray Move button in between the two columns. Then click Assign.

How to assign an end date to a Location:

Click Artwork on the left-side menu. Click on the Piece for which you want to edit the Location dates. Go to Location History and click on Edit next to the Location to which you want to assign an end date. Click on the box under End and select the end date. Then click Save.

Note: You must have a Piece assigned to the Location first to add an end date.

If it is the current location of the Piece, check the Current Location? box. 

Note: When the Piece is no longer at the Location, you can go back and the uncheck the Current Location? box. This will return the Piece to your Inventory.
