A Public Profile gives your organization a public home for its collection: the artwork itself, the Collections you curate, your Exhibitions, your artists, an About section, an Interactive Map, and a News feed. This article covers turning it on and getting the essentials in place.
For what each of those pages does and how to get the most out of them, see Public Profile Features for Artwork Archive Organization Accounts. To see how other institutions use theirs, browse the Discovery page using keywords such as Gallery, Collection, University, and Public Art.
How to Make Your Organization's Public Profile "Public"
By default, everything in your Artwork Archive account is private. Making your profile public is what puts it on the web and on Discovery. If you would rather share your collection with a named group instead, create a Private Room.
Click My Profile in the left-side menu
Use the profile visibility control at the top of the Manage Your Public Profile page, next to the page heading, to set your profile to public
Did you know?
Can you password protect your public profile. Password protection suits arts organizations that want their Public Profile reachable only by a specific group, such as the staff of a corporation or hospital.
Click the Profile Settings tab at the top
In the right-hand column, find Privacy Settings and the Password Protection section
Turn on Password Protect Your Public Profile
Enter a secure password and save it

You can customize your Public Profile URL. You can change your Public Profile URL, or forward your own domain to it. See Domain Forwarding and Customizing your Public Profile URL.
How to Choose Which Pieces in Your Collection Are Public
You can make your entire collection public, or pick the Pieces you want visitors to see. Everything you do not select stays private.
Click My Profile in the left-side menu
Click the Public Pieces tab at the top
Choose which Pieces to make public:
To publish the whole collection, choose Make All Public
To publish individual Pieces, click the box to the far right of a Piece. The box turns blue when the Piece is public and gray when it is not, and your changes save automatically.
You can also change a Piece's public status from within the Piece record itself

How to Add Your Logo, Profile Image, and Profile Footer
Your branding is what makes a Public Profile look like your institution rather than a generic page.
Click My Profile in the left-side menu
Click the Profile Info tab at the top, where you will find Profile Image, Logo, and Profile Footer
Click Choose File to upload each one. Artwork Archive supports JPEG and PNG files, and a high-resolution file gives the best result.
Choose Use Profile Image or Use Logo to decide which one appears across your Public Profile
Click Save
Did you know?
Your choice applies consistently everywhere your profile appears. You can also use your logo or profile image as the footer on Reports.
What to Put in Your Profile Footer
Your Profile Footer appears at the bottom of every page of your profile and on your embed pages. Use it for copyright or institutional information, links, or a brief statement.
Footer example: Temiskaming Art Gallery.
Note:
Your profile footer is centered on every page. Footer content is centered at the bottom of the Public Profile. The Profile Footer is separate from your About section, which has its own page.
How to Customize the Layout of Your Organization's Public Profile
Under Profile Settings > Layout & Display you control how your collection is presented. You can choose side or top navigation, Tile View or Grid View for your Artwork page, serif or sans serif type across your profile and its navigation menu, how many Pieces load per page, whether to give visitors a Sort Menu and a Filtering Bar for narrowing by price, size, availability, and creation date, and whether your Contact page appears at all.
For every setting and what it does, see How to Change the Layout of Artworks on Your Public Profile.
You can also decide which page visitors land on first. See How to Set the Default Landing Page for Your Artwork Archive Public Profile.
How to Preview Your Organization's Public Profile
Click View Public Profile at the top right of the Manage Your Public Profile page, or View Profile under My Profile in the left-side menu. Either opens your profile exactly as a visitor sees it.
You can preview this way even while your profile is private, so you can get everything right before anyone else can see it.
