Custom Order lets you arrange the artwork on your Artwork Archive Public Profile in any sequence you like, the way you would hang a show. Set it once, and it becomes the order every visitor sees when they arrive.
How to Set a Custom Order for Your Artwork
Click My Profile on the left-side menu.
Select Profile Settings at the top.
In the right-hand column, find Page & Piece Order and click the arrow to expand it. This section stays closed until you open it.
Under Custom Ordering and Piece Sort Options, open the Select Piece Order drop-down and choose Custom Order.
Click the Customize Ordering button below the drop-down. It only appears once Custom Order is selected.
Arrange your Pieces using either method below.
Your order saves automatically. There is no Save button to look for.
Two Ways to Arrange Your Artwork
Every Piece on the Customize Ordering screen has a number box beside it and a drag handle, the three stacked bars, to the right.
Drag and drop. Click and hold the three bars, drag the Piece up or down the list, and let go where you want it.
Type a number. Enter the position you want, and the other Pieces shift around it.
Dragging is easiest when you can see your whole list at once. Typing numbers is quicker with a long list where you already know where a Piece belongs.
Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Ordering Your Artwork
Can I preview my artwork order before my Public Profile is public?
Yes. While your profile is still private, click Preview as a Visitor at the top right of your Manage Your Public Profile page to see exactly what a visitor will see. Once your profile is public, that button reads View Public Profile.
Why does my artwork order look different in Tile View?
Tile View fits your images together at their natural proportions, so Pieces can shift position depending on the size of a visitor's screen. Grid View arranges your artwork in even columns and keeps your Custom Order exactly as you set it. If the exact sequence matters to you, use Grid View. See How to Change the Layout of Artworks on Your Public Profile.
If visitors sort my artwork, does that change my Custom Order?
No. When the Sort Menu is turned on, visitors can re-sort your artwork while they browse, but that only affects what they see during that visit. Your Custom Order returns for the next person. To turn it on, go to My Profile > Profile Settings > Layout & Display and toggle on Show Sort Menu. See How to Set Up and Customize Your Artwork Archive Public Profile.
What are the other options in the Select Piece Order drop-down?
If you would rather Artwork Archive keep your artwork in order for you, choose a preset order instead of Custom Order. Your Public Profile then re-sorts itself as you add new Pieces.

Can I custom order my Collections too?
Yes, from this same Page & Piece Order section, using Collection Page Ordering and the Customize Collection Ordering button. Custom Order works in several other areas of Artwork Archive as well.
