How do I sort and filter my Pieces?

Easily organize, find and view your artwork.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In Artwork Archive, you can customize how you view and organize your artwork collection using the filtering and sorting tools:

Filtering - Easily find specific artworks by filtering on criteria like medium, date created, sales status, missing data, etc. For example, filter to only see acrylic paintings created in 2022 that are still available for sale.

Sorting - Change how your artworks are ordered by sorting on title, creation date, price or other attributes. For instance, sort your collection chronologically to see your progression over time.

With robust filters and sorting, you can create customized views of your artwork tailored to your needs. Quickly hone in on relevant artworks to manage your collection more efficiently.

Filter your Pieces:

Use filter to find subsets of your artwork. For example, you can filter your work by type of work (oil painting etc.) to view that section of works only.

  1. Select Artwork in the left-side menu.

  2. Next to the gray Filter button you can filter your pieces based on Status, Location, Date, Medium, Price, Size, Collections, Editions, Type, Subject Matter, Tags, and More.

You can choose more than one filter at a time.

Did you know?

When you have a filter applied to view only certain artworks, you can quickly edit those Pieces without losing your filter settings.

To do this, click the pencil icon in the top right corner of an artwork thumbnail instead of clicking into the full record. This opens a quick edit window where you can update details like title, price, description etc for that piece while maintaining your current filter.

Remove a Filter:

To remove a filter, click the blue X next to the filter you'd like to remove in the Active Filters section. To remove all filters, click Clear All Filters.

Filter for Missing Data:

You can also filter for missing data. For example, you can use the 'Missing Data' filter to narrow down your search to only the Piece records that do not yet have a price associated.

  1. From the main Pieces page, click More on the Filter bar.

  2. Scroll down to locate Missing Data Filter.

  3. Choose the missing data for which you'd like to filter.

  4. Click the blue Apply button.

Sort your Pieces:

Sorting allows you to easily customize and rearrange the order of your artwork by attributes like title, date, price, and more.

  1. Select Artwork in the left-side menu.

  2. Click Sort in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. From the drop-down menu, you can choose how you want to sort your artworks.
