Your Artwork Archive Public Profile puts selected parts of your collection online while the rest of your records stay private. It pulls directly from your inventory, so when you update a Piece record, your profile updates too. There's no second website to maintain and no double data entry.
In this walkthrough, you'll see how to choose what to share, give your profile a look that fits your institution, and help researchers, students, curators, and supporters find and contact you.
What This Public Profile Video Tutorial Covers
Privacy and control: keeping your account private by default and choosing which Pieces and Collections visitors see
Customizing the look: navigation, layout, fonts, and the page visitors land on first, plus display settings that remove the need to hover for artwork details
About and Contact pages: sharing your mission, history, and supporting documents, and giving visitors a direct way to reach you
Artwork and artist pages: individual artwork pages and Artist Profiles for the makers in your collection
Search, filter, and sort: helping visitors browse large collections, and using Collections to structure what they see
Exhibitions: a lasting online archive of your past, current, and upcoming Exhibitions
Interactive Art Map: helping the public find and visit multi-location collections and public art with the Interactive Map
Web embeds: showing your artwork on your own website, updated automatically from your account
News posts: keeping your community engaged with News posts on your profile
How to Get the Most Out of Your Collection's Public Profile
Choose your public artwork first. Go to My Profile, then the Public Pieces tab, and turn on the artwork you want visitors to see. Everything else stays private
Preview before you go live. Click Preview as a Visitor at the top right of the Manage Your Public Profile page to see exactly what visitors will see. Once your profile is public, that button reads View Public Profile
Make it public when you're ready. Use the profile visibility control beside the Manage Your Public Profile title and choose Public. If you only want a specific group to see it, add a password under Profile Settings > Privacy Settings
Share privately when that fits better. To share a selection with board members, lenders, or appraisers only, use a Private Room instead
Share your link anywhere. Click the copy icon beside your Public Profile URL to copy your link. Click the pencil icon to personalize the URL
Let it update itself. Changes you make to your Piece records show up on your profile automatically, so there's nothing to update twice
Note:
Exhibitions and the Interactive Map are available on Organization accounts. The web embed is available on Collector Plus, Collector Premier, and all Organization plans.
