Adding Videos and Audio to Your Artwork Records

Upload videos and audio files to your piece records.

Updated this week

Give your piece records an extra boost by incorporating multimedia elements such as videos and audio files. These features, available for all account types, provide a more immersive experience for viewers. Whether it's a time-lapse video of your painting technique, a narration about the history of your collection, or ambient audio for your installation, these multimedia additions can significantly enrich the viewer's understanding and appreciation of a piece.

Adding Videos to Individual Piece Records:

  1. Click on "Add Video Links" in your piece record.

  2. The platform supports videos from YouTube and Vimeo.

  3. Copy and paste your video link into the top field.

  4. Add a short caption for the video.

Publishing Videos on Your Public Profile

By default, your videos are private to your account. To make them public:

  1. Go to My Profile on the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on Public Settings tab from the top menu

  3. Scroll down to the Public Profile Options > Data Settings

  4. Select Show Embedded Videos from Video Links

This action will make all videos uploaded to your piece records public. The videos will then appear when clicking into the artwork record that you have made public on your Public Profile.

Note: YouTube does not allow the "Shorts" view of videos to be embedded on other sites. Use the full video player URL instead. To convert a 'short' URL to a full video player URL, replace the word 'Shorts' with 'Watch' in the URL.

Uploading Audio Files

You can upload audio files up to 30MB in two places:

Within an Individual Piece Record

You can add up to 5 audio files to a single artwork record. Each audio file can be up to 30MB in size.

  1. Click into the artwork record

  2. Click Edit

  3. Scroll to find the on Add Audio button

  4. Select the audio file from your device.

  5. Add a caption to your audio file.

Within My Docs

To upload audio files not related to a specific artwork:

  1. Go to My Docs on the left-hand menu.

  2. Click New Document from the top

  3. Select your audio file (up to 30MB)

  4. Add any relevant information

This option is useful for general audio content like artist statements, collection overviews, or ambient sounds that aren't tied to a particular piece.

Publishing Audio Files on Your Public Profile

Similar to videos, audio files are private by default. To make them public:

  1. Go to My Profile on the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on Public Settings tab from the top menu

  3. Scroll down to the Public Profile Options > Data Settings

  4. Select Show Audio for all public pieces
