How to Customize Your Artwork Archive Public Profile URL and Forward Your Own Domain

Change the URL Username in your Artwork Archive Public Profile link, and forward a domain you already own to your Public Profile.

Your Artwork Archive Public Profile comes with its own web address, and the part of it that names you is yours to change at any time. If you already own a domain, you can forward it to your Public Profile so visitors reach your artwork from an address you own.

How to Customize Your Artwork Archive Public Profile URL from My Profile

Your Public Profile URL sits at the top of the Manage Your Public Profile page and stays visible as you move across the tabs, from Profile Info through Integrations. You can edit it from any of them.

  1. Click My Profile on your left-side menu

  2. Find your Public Profile URL at the top of the Manage Your Public Profile page

  3. Click the pencil icon beside the URL

  4. Type the URL Username you want

  5. Click the blue Save button

The copy icon next to the pencil copies your full Public Profile URL, which is the address you will need for domain forwarding.

Did You Know?

Your URL username appears in more than your Public Profile. The URL Username you choose becomes part of your Public Profile URL, your Private Rooms links, and other shareable Artwork Archive URLs.

How to Customize Your Artwork Archive Public Profile URL from Your Account Page

The same URL Username can be changed from your Account page.

  1. Go to Account on your left-side menu

  2. Scroll down to the URL Username section

  3. Click the blue Customize URL Username text

  4. Type the URL Username you want

  5. Click the blue Save button

How to Forward Your Own Domain to Your Artwork Archive Public Profile

Artwork Archive does not support custom domains at this time. If you already own a domain, you can forward it to your Public Profile URL instead, so anyone who types your address lands on your profile. Each domain provider has its own instructions for this, and the setup happens on their side rather than in Artwork Archive.

Here are instructions from two popular domain platforms:

Before You Set Up Domain Forwarding

  1. Copy your exact Public Profile URL using the copy icon at the top of the Manage Your Public Profile page

  2. Set your Public Profile to public. Forwarding points visitors at your live Public Profile URL, so your profile needs to be public for the redirect to land.

Did You Know?

You can preview your public profile before you make it public. You do not have to make your profile public just to see how it looks. Click View Public Profile at the top right of the Manage Your Public Profile page to preview it while it is still private, then make it public when you are ready to forward your domain.

Did You Know?

Your domain provider handles forwarding setup. Because forwarding is configured with your domain provider, their support team is the fastest route if a redirect is not working.
